The Phonetic Reading Books are great exercise to help build reading confidence through a series of progressively more challenging booklets. Beginning with words one one page and pictures on the opposite, students are invited to create their own booklets as well after mastering some of the ones available.

Materials
- Booklets which can be made in different ways.
- Group 1 – Word Booklets
- Picture on the left hand side and a word on the right hand side. (1 word and 1 picture per book.)
- Group 2 – Shape Booklets
- Booklets containing phonetic words with the same vowel sound. The cover represents the first word.
- Group 3 – Sentence Booklets
- Booklets with one word from a sentence on each page. The – cat – is – on – the – hat. The last page has the entire sentence on it. The front cover has a picture of the sentence. The is one sentence per book.
- Group 1 – Word Booklets
