INSETS & TEMPLATES MIXED-UP AND REMOVED FROM THE TRAY
- Remove all the insets in order, and place them randomly on the left side of the rug.
- Remove the templates in order, and place them randomly in a line onf the lower half part of the rug (largest next to smallest).
- Have the child carry the tray to her table.
- Hunt for the largest inset, and place it below the template it appears match.
- Trace the inset, then the template.
- Place the inset in the template.
- If they do not match, return it with the others and hunt for the one that does match.
- When finished, remove the insets from left to right, and place them below their templates.
- Have the child go bring the tray from her table.
- Replace the templates in order, largest to smallest using two hands.
- Replace the insets as before.
- Return the tray to the Cabinet.

Aditional Exercises
- Child may use two rugs – insets in one, templates in the other and then match them up.
- A mature child may take out 2 or 3 drawers at a time.
- Place the insets in the middle of the rug. Place the templates around the edge. Have the child match them.
